Managing your personal "block" and "allow" lists for email

1. Log in to Outlook on the Web via https://houndmail.loyola.edu

2. Click on the Gear icon in the upper right, scroll down and under Your app settings, select "Mail"

3. A new menu will appear on the left hand side of the screen. Look under Mail -> Accounts -> Block or Allow

There are 4 sections:

BLOCK OR ALLOW
- You can choose to never move anything to your Junk folder, or to use the Microsoft email filtering provided by Loyola to filter out spam email.

SAFE SENDERS AND RECIPIENTS
- This is a list of email addresses and email domains that you want to be sure never get put into your Junk folder.  If you are entering a domain, only enter the part afgter the @ sign - do not include the @ sign.  There is also an option to trust anyone who is in your contact list.

BLOCKED SENDERS
- Similar to to the previous section, these are email addresses and domains that you want to always end up in your Junk folder.  Be careful when entering a domain, since all users at the domain will be blocked.  And also be careful when using the option to "don't trust email unless it comes from someone in my Safe Senders and Reciepients list" since it would send a majority of your email to your Junk folder.
