Managing your personal "block" and "allow" lists for email

1. Log in to Outlook on the Web via https://houndmail.loyola.edu

2. Click on the Gear icon in the upper right, click View all Outlook settings

3. A box will appear, landing you in Mail >> Layout. From the list containing Layout, click on Junk email

There are four (4) sections:

BLOCKED SENDERS AND DOMAINS
- You can choose to never move anything to your Junk folder, or to use the Microsoft email filtering provided by Loyola to filter out spam email.

SAFE SENDERS AND DOMAINS
- This is a list of email addresses and email domains that you want to be sure never get put into your Junk folder.  If you are entering a domain, only enter the part after the @ sign - do not include the @ sign.  There is also an option to trust anyone who is on your contact list. Be careful when entering a domain, since all users at the domain will be blocked

FILTERS
-  Be careful when using the option to "Only trust email addresses in my Safe senders and domains list and Safe mailing lists" since this option would send a majority of your email to your Junk folder.

REPORTING
- Options listed under this section allow you to choose settings for sending reports to Microsoft when you categorize emails as junk.
