Zoom: The Differences between Basic and Pro Accounts

Tags zoom account

Basic vs Pro

Everyone at Loyola University receives a Basic Zoom account by default; it is associated with your Loyola ID. A Pro count may be assigned if your needs warrant it.  The main difference is that the basic account limits you to hosting a meeting for a maximum of 40 minutes if there are more than 2 in the meeting. There is no time limit to a basic account if the meeting is between two people. There are no time limits on any size meetings with a Pro account.

If you think you need a Pro Zoom account, please contact The Office of Digital Teaching & Learning (odtl@loyola.edu)
