Sync your Teams Files to your File Explorer on PC (Windows)

Similar to OneDrive, once you have the Sync Application installed on your computer, you can use this application to sync Team folders to your computer as well. This will allow you to interact with Teams files from your File Explorer in the same manner that you would your OneDrive files.

How to Sync your Teams files

  1. Navigate to office.loyola.edu and log in with your Loyola credentials.
  2. Locate the Teams icon from the applications and select.
  3. Choose the Team that you wish to sync and click on the Files tab. You will need to do the following steps for each Channel in the Team that you wish to sync.
  4. From the Files tab, locate and select the “Open in SharePoint” button.

  5. This will open your files in SharePoint. There will be an option to “sync”, select that option.

  6. A small window will pop up confirming that you want to sync. Select the “sync now” option.

  7. The Sync Application selection box will appear. On this screen, you can select the folders you want to sync from the Channel’s files. Click “start sync”.

  8. The sync will start. If you would like to check on the status, go to your File Explorer and you will now see a drive called “Loyola University Maryland”. The Team’s Channel will appear here, and you can open the Channel to see if the sync has completed.
