Sync your Teams Files to your Hard Drive

Like OneDrive, once you have the Sync Application installed on your computer, you can use it to sync Team folders to your computer as well. This will allow for you to interact with Teams files from your file explorer in the same manner that you would your OneDrive files.

How to Sync your Teams files

  1. Navigate to office.loyola.edu and log in with your Loyola credentials.
  2. Locate the Teams icon from the applications and select.
  3. Choose the Team that you wish to sync and click on the Files tab. You will need to do the following steps for each Channel in the Team that you wish to sync.
  4. From the Files Tab, locate the “Open in SharePoint” button and select it.

  5. This will open your files in SharePoint. There will be a button to “sync”, select it.

  6. A small window will pop up confirming that you want to sync. Select the “sync now” option.

  7. The Sync Application selection box will appear, on this screen you can select the folders you want to sync from the Channel’s files. Click “start sync”.

  8. The sync will start, and if you would like to check on the status you can go to your file explorer and you will now see a drive called “Loyola University Maryland”. The Team’s Channel will appear here, and you can open it to see if the sync has completed.
