Employee Onboarding

Loyola University’s Human Resources offers professional employee on-boarding resources such as New Employee Orientation that assists with ensuring all on-boarding documents are completed, offers eligible employees online benefits enrollment and other additional resources.

Technology Services offers New Hire Technology Orientation that provides new employees with a better understanding of navigating the technology and other technical resources and tools at Loyola.

When an employee has completed all the necessary HR paperwork, their Loyola account is created. The timely submittal of the paperwork to the HR partner is critical as your Loyola account is the driver to your email, access to Inside Loyola as well as the assignment of phone extension and voicemail.

Active employee accounts automatically provide access to standard resources such as:

  • Inside Loyola
  • Computer access
  • Email address
  • Microsoft Office 365 suite includes email
  • Houndprint
  • Two-factor authentication
  • Moodle
  • Evergreen card
  • Campus door access
  • Emergency notifications
  • Fitness and Aquatic Center access
  • Library access

There is no cost to use this service, but there may be additional computer and equipment costs.

Staff and administrators whose position requires technology will receive a PC desktop or laptop depending upon their job duties.  If an employee requires a computer outside of the standard issued device, Technology Services will work with the employee to identify and purchase an appropriate device. If the cost of the device is more than the per employee allocation, the department for whom the employee works will be responsible for the balance and must provide a department budget number to Technology Services for the additional cost before the equipment is ordered.

The University provides one desktop per eligible faculty, staff or administrator, based upon job need. Any additional devices or equipment must be paid for with departmental funds and must be purchased through Technology Services.
