Installing MyWorkDrive - Personal Mac

Please note: MAC OS 10.11 El Capitan or higher is required to install this software. If you are having trouble installing this software, please check your operating system.

  1. Download MyWorkDrive to your computer. Note: Once you navigate to this link, do NOT click on the MyWorkDrive Installer listed, just click the Download button at the top of the page.

      2.       Open the download from your Downloads folder. Note: This may vary depending on the browser you used.

3. Select OK to open the application.

Title: Opening Zipped File - Description: This shows how to open the zipped package.  Open with Archive Utility and then choose OK.

4. If you receive the prompt that this is from an unidentified developer, select ok. If you do not receive this message, skip to Step 8.

5. Select the Apple in the top left corner and select System Preferences...

6. Select Security & Privacy.

7. In the General tab, select Open Anyway to complete the installation of this. Note: You will only want to allow applications with unidentified developers to open if you are familiar with them and know they are secure.

8.       Go back to the downloads and open the downloaded application again. Select Continue to begin the install. Go through the prompts to install the application.

Title: Install MyWorkDrive - Description: This is the start of the installation process for MyWorkDrive.  Choose Continue.

9.       Allow the application to install by selecting the various prompts until completed. Once successfully installed, select Close.

10.   Once the installation is completed, open MyWorkDrive, which can be found under Applications, or on your dock.

MyWorkDrive can be found in the Applications folder on your Macintosh HD.

11.   When you open the application, the Server URL will be filled in. Enter your username (no @loyola.edu or ad\) and your Loyola password.

12.   If you are an employee, you will be prompted to confirm your identity with DUO two factor authentication.

13.   Once this is complete, you will see your Home and Shared folders under MyWorkDrive.
